About us

The Integrated Specialist Healthcare Education and Research Foundation (ISHCERF) was established in 2014. Its mission is to improve the connection of healthcare services by better linking hospital, specialist, primary care and diagnostic services.

The concept of integrated healthcare is defined by the World Health Organisation as “bringing together inputs, delivery, management and organization of services related to diagnosis, treatment, care, rehabilitation and health promotion. Integration is a means to improve services in relation to access, quality, user satisfaction and efficiency” ISHCERF aims to fulfil its mission by facilitating the following changes in healthcare systems :

  1. Integrate teams of specialists focused around specific disease
  2. Provide geographic co-location of services to provide patients with beGer access to diagnosis and treatment
  3. Integrate diagnostics with procedures
  4. Link all sectors in healthcare in cooperative partnership
  5. Utilise technological innovation and electronic medical record to provide seamless communication between various sectors in healthcare
  6. Seek to vertically integrate specialists with primary care and ambulatory care
  7. Provide educational integration for both specialist and primary care teaching and colleges
  8. Aim for research integration with academic institutions
